Looking for the Panda Express gluten free menu? Well look no further because you won’t find one… See what I just did there? haha.
I grew up making trips to the mall with my friends and eating lunch at the food court. Panda Express was a staple in the South Park Mall food court in Charlotte back in the day. Today it is still popular. I just saw one with a mile long in the airport two days ago!

Panda Express Gluten Free Options
What are your gluten free options at Panda Express?…Well there are none. I’m not going to beat around the bush on this one ladies and gentlemen. Maybe the white rice is gluten free?
They come right out and say it on their website:
“Panda uses ingredients that contain all the major FDA allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, milk, soy and wheat). Panda prepares its products fresh with shared cooking equipment and therefore allergens could be present in any entree. We do not have any vegetarian, vegan or gluten free products.”
Their allergens page does list the following as not containing Wheat:
- Brown Steamed Rice
- White Steamed Rice
- Sichuan Hot Chicken
Not a lot to work with there… I appreciate their openness. Seeing their assembly line approach to making your meal I can see how it would be hard to keep items gluten free.
They don’t even make an attempt though. It’s pretty disappointing…

Move along…nothing to see here folks
If you are in a pinch and need a meal, the Panda Express gluten free menu is not the gluten free choice you are looking for. It simply does not exist!
There are other great choices out there like Chipotle or Red Robin. You will have a hard time finding any Chinese style food that is gluten free.
Sorry to disappoint! Let me know what other options you have found in the comments below. I’d love to hear what else you have found to fill that Panda Express gluten free menu void!
Other Gluten Free Menu Options
Sorry to bear the bad news about Panda Express, but I’ve been doing my research and have found some other great options. Here are a few other gluten free restaurant menu options out that that actually make some kind of effort to get your business and keep you safe.
This is just to name a few. Check out the rest of my website for more dining options. If I’m missing one you are looking for, let me know!
Thanks for stopping by!
Panda Express is a disappointment. One of the very few chains that doesn’t cater at least a few dishes to be allergen-friendly.
Pf Changs has a wonderful gluten free menu and they are extra careful with prep.
I am celiac and never have a problem there.
