Trust me when I say that these gluten free burger patties will blow you away with flavor! Next stop Flavor Town! Who’s with me?
I like to keep my gluten free recipes simple and flavorful. I love a great gluten free burger!

Here is a gluten free bun Pro-tip:
Toast those buns! The one issue I’ve seen with gluten free burgers is not the meat… it’s the buns! They are typically dry and thick. My go to brand right now is your basic Udi’s burger bun. Their buns are thick, but they toast extremely well! Canyon Bakehouse also makes great burger buns and you can get $1.00 off with their coupon all the time!
Toast their buns in a frying pan. I slather butter on the burger side of both the top and bottom. Toss them on the frying pan on medium heat and toast them like I would a grilled cheese until they are golden brown. A buttered and toasted burger bun is a gluten free game changer! Try it and tag me on Instagram, I’d love to see it!

-
Toss those bad boys on the grill and cook to your liking! I prefer my burger medium well!
Adding soy sauce was something new for me — but it tasted perfect. Just a great burger.
soy sauce often contains gluten
Jennie, There are tons of GF soy sauce options! We have also used coconut aminos as a substitute. Thanks for dropping by!
-Lenny
Really want to make these! Which GF flour do you use? Thanks!
Kat, King Arthur GF flour is our go to! Thanks for stopping by!
-Lenny
how many does this make?
Owen, great question! Typically you can make 4 burger patties for every pound. This recipe calls for 2lbs of meat so you could expect to make 8 quarter pound patties. I typically just grab a fist full and form the patties. I like mine a little bigger and the kids like them a little smaller. Comes down to preference. Hope that helps!!

I made these burgers for my daughter who is gluten intolerant. Although these burgers were lovely, my daughter told me that Worcestershire sauce contains barley which is gluten. You may want to specify GF Worcestershire sauce to avoid confusion.
Andy! I can see how there might be some confusion! I added “GF” to the Worcestershire sauce on the recipe card list. In the future, here is a link to an article with some gluten free brands you can use in the future like French’s. I’m glad you liked the burgers and hope you continue to enjoy them with less worry next time! Thank you so much for the feedback

My Lea & Perry Worcestershire Sauce notes “Gluten Free” on the bottle (no barley listed).
Good to know! thank you for sharing!

These were great! So juicy!
Made these today – delish!!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed them!

So so simple and so so good. My go-to recipe.
So glad to hear! Thanks!!
Lenny
I am thinking of making these for Father’s Day? When you say 2 pounds of burger, what lean do you use?
Great choice for a Father’s Day meal! I use 90/10 typically, but in theory 2 pounds should make 8 burgers. Let me know how it goes!
-Lenny
Absolutely the BEST GF hamburger patties (and even better than most regular patties)!! It will definitely be my go-to recipe!
I’m so glad you liked them! Thank you for the kind words!
-Lenny
Hi Lenny, love the recipe. However, am I right in thinking soy sauce contains gluten?
Liz, regular soy sauce is not GF, but they make gluten free soy sauce. Aimee and I actually use Coconut Aminos from Bragg’s for the same effect. Great question, and I’ll get this post updated in the near future. This isn’t the first time I’ve been asked that. Thanks for the comment and taking the time to shoot me a note!

These were so good!!
Very juicy and stayed together with great flavour.
Normally I find the various recipes I try quite bland and they tend to fall apart (a bit like my life half the time haha). If they don’t fall apart, then they turn out dry or rubbery. Not these ones! Absolute perfection!
That said, I did add a teaspoon of beef stockpowder and a handful of grated cheese into the mix.
The rest of my family is not GF so I am always happy when a GF recipe is quick, easy, tastes great AND gets positve comments from the family.
Thank you so much 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it, well played with the added cheese and beef stock powder! Great work keeping the family happy and fed!!

Need to start making these for summer barbecue for 50 people, will they freeze well if I start preparing now.
Gillian, I’ve never made enough to freeze, but I imagine they would be ok to freeze for a bit. Just make sure to defrost fully before cooking.
