Broccoli salad recipe?! I’ll get on that right after I finish my peas…
When Aimee told me she had a great broccoli salad recipe, I literally laughed out loud. I typically don’t eat very many things that are any shade of green, but I was willing to give it a try.
Well, yet again, she proved me wrong. This broccoli salad recipe will rock your world. I don’t typically get excited about vegetables unless it’s my Pico… but this one is worth it… and I’ll try anything with bacon!

It only takes a little bit of prep time with the bacon and cutting of the broccoli. The sauce is creamy and sweet. You will hardly realize that you are eating broccoli.
This makes a great cookout option when showing up to a friends house. Just remember to keep it chilled. You might get a few funny looks, but once they get their hands on it, its on!
If you are feeling a little wild, you can toss in a few sunflower seeds to give it more crunch.
THE Secret to This Broccoli Salad Recipe
The vegetables and various whole ingredients you add to your salad are important, but the reason this broccoli salad is better than any I’ve ever had is the sauce.
You definitely want top notch bacon, fresh broccoli, crisp red onion, and everything else… but when you mix the sauce up you will see what I mean. It really brings it all together with the apple cider vinegar, mayo, and sugar.
Not to mention it’s super easy to make and only a few ingredients.
Pro tip for you… make this the night before. It does really well in the refrigerator over night.

Take a look at the recipe below. Try it out and let me know if you liked it. You can certainly deviate to add more bacon or something else. I mean, can you ever have too much bacon? Make sure you test the dressing before you pour it on. It should be sweet to taste.
