Skillet, Oil, and Gluten Free Flour Pro Tips!
For our pan, we use the Pampered Chef cast iron skillet. This thing is a BOSS in the kitchen. You definitely need to check it out! Pampered Chef makes a great product. We have all kinds of their products in our kitchen!
For our oil, we use Bertolli brand extra virgin olive oil… the extra light taste works great too! As it says in the name, the taste is light and allows you to taste the food and not the oil!
For our gluten free flour, we have been using King Arthur’s measure for measure, always a great go to gluten free flour! This has become a staple in our house.

Fried Squash and Onion Ring Recipe
When I went gluten free, most of my fried food options went out the door too…until now!! I'm here with the most amazing gluten free fried squash and onion ring recipe out there! This gluten free fry batter is a game changer!
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup GF flour
- 1 cup Almond milk Any milk of choice should work!
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Pepper
- 1 tbsp your favorite seasoning we love Cajun seasoning
- Olive Oil
Combine the egg, milk, flour, salt, and your favortite seasoning (this is your batter)
Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a large flat pan
Dunk your fried food of choice covering both sides evenly in the batter and then place in the hot oil… carefully! It should instantly sizzle in the oil.
Sprinkle a little pepper on each piece of fried food. This gives it a nice look and taste
Depending on thickness, cook each side 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown
Once golden brown to your liking, remove from oil and place on a plate. Grind salt to taste on each and then enjoy!
