Social media, blogs, and podcasts have always intrigued me. I’ve always had a personal account on Facebook or Instagram, but it generally just turned into family photos and I never really kept up with it, nothing gluten free. Tons of baby photos, some pictures from work, and the occasional goofy picture tagged by friends popped up occasionally.
Gluten Free Dad has taken on a life of its own and it has become very enjoyable to say the least. Originally my plan was to create the Instagram @Glutenfree_dad to simply document my gluten free journey. Have a little fun with it, nothing crazy. But I see there is a huge gluten free community.

I just hit over 1000 followers and have had some really great communication with all types of folks on there. Pretty cool! There are so many great gluten free pictures and bloggers out there, it has really made dodging the G pretty easy.

Why the Gluten Free Blog?
Along with Instagram, I had the idea of a blog for Gluten Free Dad. I thought maybe start it in the spring or summer. I didn’t really know where to start. But my amazing fiancé, convinced me to sit-down with her and design the layout. She created the website from scratch. The work she put in was incredible!
I don’t know much about web design, but what she did looked like a work of art. I knew she was great at what she did based on her portfolio, but watching her in action as she poured her creative soul into my simple website idea was truly inspiring. Throw in the amazing efforts of Jayana on the development side and we have a work of art! If you are looking to build a website, you need to find Aimee (@aimeeanchored) on instagram. She won’t admit it, but I’m sure she’s one of the best in the world. No question!

So here we are. A great looking website ready to hit the streets. I’m pretty excited for what lies ahead. My plan wasn’t to really advertise until after Christmas. Gives me time to build some content, make more contacts, figure out how to actually do this. I’ve never had a website before, so all of my posts so far have really just been learning experiments for me. But it has been pretty simple and fun.
I plan to work on three things. First, keep building relationships on social media. Second, build the blog with fun content. Third, create a podcast with Aimee.
Gluten Free Podcast you say?
Yes, you heard it here first. I think it would be so much fun to create a podcast with Aimee. Besides the fact that she is hilarious and I laugh my face off with her, between the two of us, we have some crazy life experiences that I think are worth sharing. Each of our stories, life experiences, successes, and failures are not only comical, but I’d argue they would be able to assist others. So game on!

I am planning to start that soon, but don’t want to set a hard timeline. We need to grab some hardware and do a few test runs. Learning how all this works is really fun, and it’s more fun doing it with Aimee.
Let me know…
Let me know what you are looking to read on the blog, see on IG, and hear on the podcast. If you’re interested in being a guest blogger here, let me know too! I’m sure many of you have fun stories to tell or experiences to share. I’d love to post them here as we grow the community.
