As I read through Chaz’s story and perused his Instagram, I have come to the realization he may actually like pancakes more than me…and I LOVE pancakes! Well done! He also loves the same Quest brand cookie I do… I have a feeling we are gonna be great friends!
Take a moment to check out his story below, he has some great info! Hit him up for all you gluten free fitness needs too!

1) Your story…tell us a little bit about yourself!
“I grew up playing sports, baseball and hockey, so being physically fit and healthy to me was always important. After I graduated college I moved to San Francisco and all of the sudden I started having horrible stomach and gut problems. Problems like bloating, constipation, inflammation and it seemed no matter what I ate I was in agony 24/7. I tried going to different doctors but no traditional doctor could help me. Then, if that wasn’t bad enough, out of nowhere I got diagnosed with cancer. I immediately had to go back to my home town of Tampa, FL and start the chemo and healing process. After I went through that it jolted my journey to find out why I got so sick, reverse it to heal myself and then dedicated myself to helping others with their gut problems so they can get control of their fitness to live vibrantly. I’m happy to say that today I’m healthy and living with minimal gut problems.”

2) Why do you eat gluten free food?
“Because it’s what my gut needs. I’ve gotten my gut to the point where I rarely feel the agony I once did, but I know if I have a lot of gluten filled foods I may just slip right back to where I was all those years ago.”
3) What is your favorite gluten free snack? Where can we find it?
“Quest Nutrition chocolate chip protein cookie, it just melts in your mouth. Amazon has it.”
4) What’s your favorite gluten free recipe?
My Gluten Free Protein Pancakes | https://www.thefitnesswrangler.com/gluten-free-protein-pancakes-paleo-recipe/

5) What’s one thing you wish you knew when first went gluten free?
“That you really can have a plethora of options to choose from when going gluten free that still taste great. You can still have pizza, basically any dessert and more just find restaurants that have gluten free or buy products that are gluten free.”

6) If you could only eat one gluten free meal for the rest of your life,
what would it be and why?
“Pancakes. There’s so much creative possibility with pancakes from chocolate chip pancakes to banana protein pancakes and on the less sweet side you can do a spicy pancake wrap or use it as a base – the options are nearly limitless. But the best part is the deliciousness of them, even the most simple pancake with maple syrup tastes amazing!”

7) What advice would you give someone who is about to go gluten free?
“It’s so much easier to live on a gluten free diet than you might think. If you’re deciding to go gluten free it most likely means your gut or other health problems are coming up in your life, you may be feeling like you’re a little bit robbed of your health. So deciding to go gluten free is more of a necessity than a desire but I promise living a gluten free life is simple – just requires you to be diligent about no gluten. You can still have amazing food, there’s not many foods out there today that can’t be recreated in a gluten free way now. And when you are gluten free you might just feel a million times better that will make it all worth it.”
8) What’s your favorite thing about being gluten free?
“That my gut isn’t’ ruining my life. I’m the one in charge, not at the mercy of food that may be slowly killing me.”
9) What is one thing you dislike about being gluten free and what do you do to mitigate it?
“It makes going out to eat a challenge sometimes because of the lack of gluten free options. However, there are more and more gluten free options now than even a few years ago but it still has a long way to go. If I go out to eat I am just sure to eat things I know are gluten free such as grilled chicken, only salt and pepper steak with no sauces, no soup, only seasoned veggies…etc.”

10) How can other people find you?
“I run my website called The Fitness Wrangler where I, and other authors that contribute to it, combine the fitness world with the holistic world. We provide resources, gluten free cooking options and training on how to accomplish one’s fitness goals while creating overall great health.”
